In Short: Sidekick is a free task management and accountability service. Use it responsibly. We provide the service “as is” without warranties. You keep ownership of your data. We can modify or discontinue the service at any time. By using Sidekick, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Sidekick! By accessing or using our Telegram bot, website, or any related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Sidekick (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Description of Service

Sidekick is an accountability and task management bot that integrates with Telegram and third-party task management platforms (Google Tasks, Notion) to help you:

Create, manage, and track tasks
Receive motivational reminders and check-ins
Organize tasks by priority and deadlines
Sync tasks across devices using your Google Tasks or Notion account

The Service is provided free of charge during our beta period. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future with advance notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sidekick. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 13 years of age
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

4. Account Registration and Security

4.1 Account Creation

To use Sidekick, you must have a valid Telegram account and authorize Sidekick to access your Google Tasks or Notion account via OAuth.

4.2 Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by sending /disconnect or /delete command to the bot, or by revoking OAuth access.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You may use Sidekick for personal task management. You agree NOT to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
Use automated systems excessively
Transmit malware or harmful code
Harass others or violate third-party terms

6. User Content and Data

You retain all ownership rights to your data. We only store your Telegram ID, OAuth tokens, and session data. Your tasks live in YOUR Google Tasks or Notion account.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service.

8. Beta Service Notice

⚠️ Beta Service: Sidekick is currently in beta. The service may contain bugs, features may change, and we may reset data without warning during testing.
